Jewelry Care Guide

Small habits help keep your favourite pieces looking their best.

Everyday wear

Put jewelry on after cosmetics and fragrance. Remove it before swimming, exercise and household cleaning. Avoid contact with harsh chemicals and activities that can catch or knock a setting.

Gentle cleaning

Use a soft, lint-free cloth. Follow the care instructions for the specific metal and gemstone before using water, soap or any cleaning solution. Pearls, porous gems and treated stones may need special handling.

Store separately

Keep pieces in individual soft pouches or lined compartments to limit scratching and tangling. Fasten chains before storing them, and keep jewelry away from prolonged heat and moisture.

Check settings and clasps

If a stone moves, a prong catches or a clasp feels loose, stop wearing the piece and have it inspected by a jeweller. Do not try to force bent parts back into position.

When in doubt, ask

Ultrasonic and steam cleaners are not suitable for every piece. Check the gemstone, its treatments and the setting before choosing a cleaning method.
